PRO: Very fast and smooth. Decent screen which is very responsive. Good value for the price.
CON: Cannot play HD Flash video in the browser (but this is the problem with Jelly Bean Android 4.1, not the tab's problem). People may say the screen resolution is low (800x480) but I actually prefer this because I can read the letters and words.
thank you for taking the time to post a review its well appreciated, thanks

Hi, Seen this product reviewed on Youtube and also reading reviews on this site.
1, Does the tablet work in portrait and also lansdscape, as the vids i have seen only show lanscape?
2, Bit confused over the charger. You say charge via usb, but the tablet appears to have a power point for charging? Also other sites seem to include a wall charger??
Be grateful if you could clear these two points up before I order.
our video review ill be posted this week and will clear all your questions, stay tuned, thanks

Received this tablet a couple of days ago, and I've had a chance to play around with it.
The one thing I have to say off the bat is, there is no 16gig version sold here. I bought it when it was advertised as 16gig but it really is an 8gig model. The friendly team here though, helped me out with this, and I've got to say I'm very happy.
Now onto a little bit of a review: I must say it's a pretty speedy little thing and very lightweight as well.
As mentioned it's very light, so when holding it up to read, or watch movies it doesn't strain your hands like the Original Galaxy Tab.
There is a little bit of bloatware installed, but if you do a factory reset after getting the device almost all of it is removed. I would recommend this to any phone you get, doesn't matter the brand. Reset it, once you've got it out of the box.
Speaking of movies, it managed to playback everything i threw at it, and if you do happen to find a format that doesn't play on the native player, QQ Player will fix that for you. There is also a popup video feature, which is really nice and novel. Didn't expect to see that, but it's nice to have. Audio playback isn't the best though from the speakers. It's a bit tinny, but put some earphones in and it's not all that bad. Considering the price some things had to be cut back on.
The Gallery displays all kinds of formats of pictures, and with the nice bright screen it really does shine.
The screen itself its beautiful. It has decent viewing angles, and does okay in sunlight, as long as your brightness setting are turned up.
I tested a bunch of apps and games and all worked without a hitch except for shadowgun, which on first boot, black screened, but worked fine afterward. It can handle the more graphic heavy games without much issue, such as the above mentioned ShadowGun, Total War: Shogun, Mass effect: Infiltrator. It also runs emulators really well and with a bluetooth gamepad it's really sweet playing the old school games.
The camera on the front, does the job for video chat. I don't use that, so I don't know if it works. Holding the device in portrait though, means the camera is at the bottom right hand of the device which seems odd at first, but you get used it.
The battery life on this tablet, really depends on what kind of settings you have for it. With constant use with screen brightness to max or reasonably high, you will get about 3-4 hours.
Set the brightness to low and kill wi-fi and even with a fair amount of usage you will get between 5-6 hours.
Best part about this tablet, is comes with Jellybean 4.1 out of the box. So all the Jellybean features are here and ready to go. Hopefully an update to 4.1.2 will come out soon.
That said, I don't the hardware is fully optimized for Jellybean. There have been cases of severe lagg, when moving around the setting area, especially when trying to move apps to the SD card. The default launcher also has lag when moving between screens and at times gets stuck and the only out is a reboot. However, if you use a another launcher like Apex or Nova this doesn't seem to be problem anymore. Also with the new Jellybean format, keep in mind, that when you move apps2SD it won't move them to the external SD if you have any kind of nandflash on your device. In this case the 5.36Gig free on the internal of the device. This is a fault of the Jellybean software though and not of the device. So make sure you have a external SD card, because your internal memory will get eaten up fast.
One thing too, that isn't mentioned, is that this is powered by it's own proprietory charger. Plugging the micro usb charger into it will do nothing. Even when plugged into a PC. This is a shame, but it's not a big deal. So keep this in mind.
Antutu benchmarked my tablet at 7760. Below the Transformer Prime and HTC OneX.
Overall for a tablet, it does almost everything you want without a problem. Browsing the web was a joy with the built in Chrome Browser, Reading books was brilliant. Watching youtube videos and other movies was also an enjoyable experience. Apart from hardware not being totally opimized for Jellybean, this a great table to keep in your bag or to give to the kids so they can entertain themselves.
Thanks again to Merimobiles for their great service.
Thanks so much, yes, I really appretiate your great satisfactory with it. Thanks.
