Hello, Back in December I ordered the Cube U30GT with IPS screen... I was so happy to get the IPS screen until the negatives started to appear....

Yes Picture was just about perfect except when any type of pressure was applied from the back or just from normal use... after day 2 only when screen displayed black It would show bad bad washout/bleeding effects... It wasn't to long to also notice how CRAPPY the internal speaker was... i mean WHAT SPEAKER... its that quiet, well anyway, that tablet didn't last to long as the microUSB plug broke off into the tablet.... WELL EVERYONE HERE'S THE REVIEW of the MVA based CUBE U30GT-H=======>

THIS Tablet is so much better built then the previous IPS screen Cube....
1.) Right off the bat the device felt much sturdier.
2.) Holy cow... I almost woke my grandma upstairs, that's how loud the new and improved internal Speakers are!!!!!
3.) Much better Charger was included this time around.
4.) battery indicator seems much better with new FW, IPS tablet would stop at 86% and then take forever to get to 100% where as this one out of the box seemed to charge more evenly...

okay now the downsides... YES I KNOW ITS NOT AN IPS Screen its MVA... But I believe these screens are either thicker or can handle more stress b/c I have 0 Bleed-through when screen is black..... Now there is minor whiting effect around the edge, but i mean you have to be looking at the screen from a position where you will not be working with the tablet...

Factory out of the box, unit turns on in 13 seconds, has 1 GB Internal Storage, and 13.5 GB SD Storage. There are mufti custom stock JB ROMS avail on the net from sites like freaktab.com and other sites, just search CUBE U30GT-H ROMS, and you will get to where you need....

Yes having Chinese bloatware stinks but if you don't feel like re-flashing with different ROM, you can always disable those apps in the settings...

Only disappointing thing about cube based tablets and I'm sure most of the cheaper china based tablets do this too, is how the internal storage is set up.... like i said earlier its got 1GB storage for 'App Storage' and an additional 13.5GB 'Storage Card' storage, yes you can use an external_SD, but don't expect that to make up for what the 32 GB model offers... if you add an external_SD, you get basically extra EXTERNAL_STORAGE for MOVIES,Pictures, Text Documents, ETC.... this cannot be used like the 13.5 GB area. this 13.5GB occupies /Android/data/ area and /Android/obb/ areas, so unlike external_SD card access, you are limited to this 13.5gb for games like for example, If you install, Modern Combat 3[from Gameloft], Modern Combat 4[from Gameloft], Amazing Spider-man[again Gameloft], Dark Knight Rises[again Gameloft], and Gangsta Rio City of Saints[Gameloft again]

you will only be left with approx 5GB of that game data storage area, which in my eyes is not enough once you figure there are plenty more things to install .....

Only downside is not enough internal storage so if installing games is something you with to do with this tablet, By all means this tablet will do so but if you want more freedom and not have to worrie about deleting apps to free space. BUY THE 32GB model, you will thank me later!!!

Now if you have the money, I also own the Mediapad 10 FHD 16GB Model, Highly Recommended if you want a High quality Build Tablet with a company that is highly known throughout the WORLD... I recommend though the Chinese firmware ver 4.1.2 from there site... you can change to English later, much better then there international FW, though some knowledge will be needed if you want Google apps, aka having to root it and DL a gapps enabler... most of the instructions are on Chinese sites but thanks to google chrome, you can translate for the most part and get the job done.... WARNING only for experienced users, otherwise ignore this last bit and buy this tablet for starters.... You cant go wrong

Once I figured out how to connect wifi I have no problems. Cube works like a charm. Pity there is no English manual, but with the help of you tube videos I am learning fast. Arrived much quicker than expected even with free postage.

1. I have old version of CUBE tablet (february 2012). There is a problem with Skype using camera. 2x zoom and only picture from one part of camera is used. Does this version has this problem solved?

2. Does this tablet support Play Market?

I am very happy with the Cube. It is high spec for the price and is quite well built. There were no english instructions but it was't hard to work out. I have upgraded the software to one of the many ROMS available on the web and the Cube really performs now

2 main concern, 2 side concern

1) Does Wifi Disconnect at time easily? (My Main Concern)

2)What's the life span of the battery plainly by watching videos? (My main concern)

3)How long does it takes to ship to Singapore?

3)Does charger comes with UK tpye power adapter?

Other then that, i think is a very good tablet and would recommend you guys to get it~

1)Yes, Wifi connect at time easily.
2) By video watch, it usually last 5-7 hours.
3) Shipment, it takes about 14-21 buz days to reach Singapore via airmail.
The adapter, yes, it comes with UK standard one to Singapore.

I've only had the tablet for 1/2 a day, but I'm putting it through it's paces and so far I'm very impressed with what I'm seeing. It's fast.. The Firmware is solid.. The Jelly Bean update is looking very smooth and quick. There's a lot of support for this in the community, so I'm looking forward to seeing even more improvements.. BTW, like the other reviewer, I do see some bleeding on the edges of the screen, but it's very minor and only on certain backgrounds.. not enough to knock off any points.. One of the best new dual cores I've worked with. Good solid build. I highly recommend it. And Merimobiles's support was helpful and excellent. thanks again.

I have been reading that these tablets have been known to have screen bleed. Is this true? Are these upgraded with the latest firmware? What is the manufacturing date of these tablets? Do these come with the proper plug (USA)

ANSWER: In my opinion not more than any other tablet if you tilt the screen to a high angle exemple over 150 degrees than yes depending on the background you can see a little bleeding just like on any other tablet model. yes they are upgrading to the latest model, June and yes it comes with a plug for the USA, video review to be posted by end of week, thanks
