Does this charge through the USB port?
I need a tablet for hill-walking that can be charged up with portable solar chargers - this looks perfect on all other counts.

does the gps realy work and is the android also in german ???

Yes gps works it has buil tin GPS chip ublox, and you can put the android 2.3 in german, thanks
