    I just got my Star Note and it's great! Is much better than expected!!! Only thing I have, is the fact that they told me it comes with a case and it didn't, but guess it's easy to find and buy one! Love my new phone!!!

  3. Not 4GB ROM

    The phone works splendid, he is quick and easy. It has a bright screen, reacts fast by touching. Nice to have an extra battery. I use a 32GB SD card and it works fine.
    Although I must say that I was a little disappointed about the storage. Internal storage is 503MB and phone storage is 1.95GB. In total 2.453GB instead of 4GB.
    I can choose to upload apps on the Internal storage or my SD card but not on the phonestorage. How will I be able to use the 1.95GB???
    The second thing is the audio jack, it's not 3,5 but longer. My regular headphone and minispeaker don't work. Do you also sell converters? What kind of audio jack is it?

  8. Great phone + solution for possible dual SIM issues

    This is the best value dual SIM WCDMA/GSM + GSM ONLY phone I could find. It runs just awesomely.
    However, if you have had a problem sorting out the dual SIMs then read on.
    The model I purchased has the label in the battery bay showing the SIM slots AROUND THE WRONG WAY. The right-hand slot (Slot1) is the WCDMA/GSM slot and the left-hand slot (Slot2) is the GSM ONLY slot. The phone will not work with just one SIM if it is a GSM SIM in the left hand slot (Slot2) - it must go in the right-hand slot. If you have a GSM SIM in the right-hand slot (Slot1) it MAY EXCLUDE/PREVENT you from using another GSM SIM in the other (left-hand) slot. That is, you may not be able to use this phone as a dual GSM phone.
    It works just fine as a dual SIM phone with a WCDMA 850/2100 SIM in the right-hand slot (Slot1) and a GSM SIM in the left-hand slot (SLot2).
    This is how the phone works in New Zealand with the Telecom XT (a 3G WCDMA 850/2100 MHz Network) and the Vodafone and 2 Degrees 3G/2G GSM Networks. Please note that it may not be the case for other countries as it depends on the Mobile Networks.
    Hope that is of help if you have been having any problem with this type of dual SIM configuration. It may also apply to other smartphones including the X18i.

    This is my second purchase from merimobiles and it's the second time that I was impressed with the quality compared to the price. The Phone has a fast CPU, a clear and responsive touch screen and WiFi works like a charm. The optional case fits perfectly and looks quite good.     Pros: 1. Very fast CPU and responsive touch screen. 2. Compatible with Straight Talk or ATT in USA. Just order the sim for ATT compatible and put in the right network settings. 3. Comes preloaded with Google Play Store. 4. Well, worth the price so you don't get stuck with some small slow Straight Talk phone. :) Cons: 1. Small dead spot on the touch screen lower right, will work if you press it just right. Not worth the trouble to send it back for replacement. 2. WiFi signal weak compared to other phones I've had. 3. Data is slow on the 3G, but I believe it is the service I am through. Not the phone. The WiFi is super fast when you are near a source. 4. The screen protectors did not fit that were purchased with it. It came with one on it already that will be fine for now. Overall, I would definitely buy another one of these phones. I had mine pre-rooted in case I wanted to add some root only apps. I use the built-in WiFi Tether instead of a separate app and it works fine.

    Great looking phone. In the Features you state it has a 2000mAh battery but in the video it shows a 3200mAh battery which is correct please.

    Hi, a few questions that others may benefit from: 1) Is this the same dimensions as the Samsung Note? I was looking for a leather case with a front flip cover rather than the silicon one offered. 2) Where can we get the firmware update to fix the market? The current installed market apparently does not let you buy apps or download bought apps, and there is an update for other variants to fix this. 3) What is the ROM allocation of the 4gb memory? How much is system for apps, and how much is mapped as an external SD? 4) Can you please provide steps to root the device? Thanks!
