Really is a good 7" tablet. I have had not problems with it (about a month). Seems to load much faster than previous tablet. Sound and graphics are good quality. Maybe just me, but I seem to have difficulty in magnifying the screen view on alot of apps. I am looking forward to any updates that may be offered (ie...newer android upgrades). I had to wait a while for the item to ship due to out of stock, when merimobiles received their shipment, they shipped it quickly. Thanks merimobiles

To begin, let me say that Jay with MeriMobiles did an excellent job of resolving a major shipping issue getting this unit to me. Once he realized that there was an issue, he quickly shipped another unit and tracked its progress until it arrived at my door. You do not find this type of service often, and it is because of this that I would come to MeriMobiles again to purchase new products.

As for the unboxing, it arrived packaged strangely, wrapped in bubble wrap and a cast of tape that had to be cut to open. This, however kept all of the contents safe and in operational condition. A manifest was included which was checked off as to the extra components I had ordered (case, etc.). The battery was already charged when it arrived, but I let it charge on the charger for a few hours for good measure. The charger itself is an overseas model that lets you build the right plug for your region. If you are used to international travel adapters, you should have no issue with it. I paid to have a screen protector installed, which it was; but there was a sticker on the upper left hand corner of the screen protector that indicated that there was a film to remove. When I pulled at the sticker, however, it started pulling up the entire protector. I removed the sticker instead. The tablet fit in the case that I purchased well, however, the open area for accessing the screen is about two to three millimeters too small in each direction and I spend a lot of time pushing the tablet around in the case just to hit the graphical interface items at the edge of the screen. While the case and screen protector are adequate, I’m probably going to see if I can get a Zagg protector and a different case to go with the device (or trim the one that came with it).

The Novo 7 Flame is a very nice little tablet. It came with a stock Android 4.0.4, Ice Cream Sandwich on board (when will it get Jelleybean?), which allows you to control all facets of the device, including processor management and developer options. The user interface is snappy and application management through Google play is very easy. The movie viewer on board had no problem playing MP4 rips of films, and the battery life is impressive. My family used the tablet continuously for nearly six hours (movies and games) on a trip before the battery finally gave up. The device has supported every app that I have put on it other than Netflix. I contacted their support and they indicated they do not yet support the device, but to keep an eye on their blog to see when they will; sounds like a blow-off to me… The only other issue I have had is that some flash in the default browser (which seems to be stripped-down chrome) causes it to crash, and other in the browser flash runs as slow as molasses (treacle, other thick liquid); especially some flash games, even with the processor set to performance mode.

I have not had a chance to use the cameras much, but they seem to take nice pictures and video. I also have not had a chance to use the HDMI. There is an app to switch to it, so I hope that it is as simple to use as the rest of the device!

One recommendation I would make is that you read up on how to operate an Android 4.0.4 device as some of the graphical widgets that Google has on the main screen are not always the most intuitive (especially the use of the task switcher, the menu “dots” and the notifications area).

All in all, I think that this is an awesome little device for the price!

I'm having this tablet for a month or so, and I must say it is very good product. On 7 inch resolution is great and has good performance. Also this was my first order on this site, people working here are polite and answer very fast taking that i'm from Europe and time difference.
All in all godd tablet and service, i'll be buying ainol captain here when it is out.

I paid 15 dollars for keyboard case from accessories for this item. And it's not fit. The case has MINI usb cable, but the tablet has MICRO usb input. I am very disappointed!

You have the option to picl a color between black or white, i thought there was only one color for this tablet thought. if there are more than one color can you please provide pictures

1.Is the Novo 7's official name Fire or Flame, I read that the Flame is a fake, is this true? And is there really a English version that comes in a black packaging box instead of white that's official?
2. I have also seen that the GPU Mali 400 for the Novo 7 is supposed to be a quad core and not a dual according to other sites, is this true or a scam? Thank you.
3. Is there any certified United States resellers for Ainol novo 7 Flame/Fire? I ask because I would like it to come asap instead of waiting many weeks from China.
Answer:
Lots of rumours are being spread. The Ainol Fire is the official name but there is no specifi boxing for the unit. It is dual core and not quad core. There aren't many quad core tablets on the market yet.
We ship from China, but upgrade to DHL and you will get it very fast sir (3-6 days).
